For years new yorkers have flocked to Ralph Pucci's showroom for his visionary approach to displaying iconic and contemporary furniture with cutting-edge artwork in an inviting, gallery-like space. Now, Angelenos have their chance. 'I think los Angeles is tailor-made for our look,' says Pucci (top right), who credits his storied start in the family mannequin business with influencing his visual sensibility. the new showroom realizes that trademark look with simple backdrop set off furniture designers such as Jens Risom, Vladmir Kagan and Andree Putman. Pucci plans to rotate large-scale art exhibitions a few times a year, beginning with the photography of Paul Solberg and Christopher Makos. 'We wanted the showroom to have an impact,' he says, 'We wanted to create a wow.'
